Quality Inspection for Carbon Graphite Electrode - Main Use – Yunai Detail:

The main application field of calcined coke in China is the electrolytic aluminum industry, accounting for more than 65% of the total consumption of calcined coke, followed by carbon, industrial silicon and other smelting industries. The use of calcined coke as fuel is mainly in cement, power generation , glass and other industries, the proportion is small. At present, the domestic supply and demand of calcined coke is basically the same, but due to the export of a large number of low-sulfur high-end petroleum coke, the total domestic supply of calcined coke is insufficient, and it is necessary to import medium and high-sulfur calcined coke to supplement. With the construction of a large number of coking units in recent years, the output of China calcined coke will continue to expand.

Depending on its quality, petroleum coke is used in industries such as graphite, smelting and chemical industry. Low-sulfur, high-quality cooked coke, such as needle coke, is mainly used to manufacture ultra-high power graphite electrodes and some special carbon products; in the steelmaking industry, needle coke is an important material for the development of new electric furnace steelmaking technology. Medium-sulfur, ordinary cooked coke is used in large quantities for aluminum smelting. High-sulfur, ordinary green coke is used in chemical production, such as the manufacture of calcium carbide, silicon carbide, etc., and also used as fuel for metal casting.

Most of the petroleum coke produced in China is low-sulfur coke, which is mainly used to smelt aluminum and make graphite. The other is mainly used to prepare carbon products, such as graphite electrodes and anode arcs, to provide steel, non-ferrous metals, and aluminum; to prepare silicon carbide products, such as various grinding wheels, sand skins, sandpaper, etc.; Production of synthetic fibers, acetylene and other products; it can also be used as fuel, but when it is used as fuel, it needs to be ultra-finely pulverized with a graded impact mill, and can be burned after being made into coke powder by JZC-1250 equipment. Mainly some glass factories, coal-water slurry factories and so on.
